Johann Georg Friederich

I have recently received new information on Johann Georg Friederich. A fellow Frederick researcher, Cheri Frederick Guirreri, has found a book titled: "Emigrants from Baden and Württemberg". This appears to be a connection on Johann's two families and where he was from in Germany.

The following is an extract of the narrative on Johann Georg Friederich:

p.81.

92. FRIEDERICH, Johann GEORG Blankenloch = 76297 Stutensee

Hacker #2474: Johann Georg Friederich of Blankenloch wants to go to

Pennsylvania, 1736

Strassburger & Hinke Lists 48A, 48B, 48C: the billender Townsend (also

spelled Townshend), whose passengers qualified in Philadelphia 5 Oct 1737

List 48C signature is :

[also on board was one Christian Friedrich, who signed List 48C by his mark

KF His name was not indexed by Strassburger & Hinke!]

This family is first mentioned in the church records of Blankenloch with the

emergency baptism 12 July 1713 of Hans Jacob, who died immediately

thereafter. He was the son of Joh. Georg Friderich, a Franconian artillery

tender [stück-knecht] and his wife, Margretha, the daughter of the late

Anthoni Bösch [see #46]. The pastor notes that they were married 2 weeks

before by a field pastor in the camp near Durlach. Children of Johann Georg

Friedrich and Margretha:

Hans Jacob, bp. 12 July 1713; died immediately thereafter (see above)

Antonius, bp. 31 Jan 1715; d. 25 Sept 1734

Maria Catharina, bp. 12 Dec 1717

Gertrauth, bp. 24 Dec 1719

Hans Noa, bp. 24 Sept 1721

Eva Barbara, bp. 16 April

Jerg Jacob, bp. 6 Feb 1727; d. 12 Dec 1731

Anna Maria, bp. 17 Feb 1729; d. 29 Dec 1729

Margretha Barbara, the wife of Jerg Friderici, died 30 Dec 1729 at the age

of 40 years, 7 months and 18 days.

George Friderich, the widower, married on 24 Oct 1730 Anna Maria, the

surviving daughter of Adam Hooß, mason. Adam Hooß, as a journeyman

mason, and the surviving son of Jerg Hooß, brick maker of Niefern, in the

Pforzheim district, had married 24 Jan 1702 Maria, the daughter of Matthai

Fritz, a native of Schopf[heim], in the Rötteln territory, at the time schoolmaster

in Blankenloch. Their daughter, Anna Maria was baptized 27 Jan 1704.

The following children of Georg Friedrich and Anna Maria were recorded:

Margretha Barbara, bp. 5 Sept 1731; d. 19 Sept 1731

Hans Jörg, bp. 21 June 1733; d. 9 March 1734

Christoph, bp. 29 April 1735
